WELCOME TO WOMEN IN POST
Women in Post (WIP) was created to provide leadership and visibility opportunities for women working in professional content creation, distribution and archive at all levels, in motion pictures, television, commercials and other media. It is a community for women to network, learn and share information and ideas in a friendly, supportive environment.
Join the Women in Post for the 4th annual Summer Lunch Series; a rotating series of networking lunches that take place at locations throughout Burbank, Hollywood and the West Los Angeles areas. The 2017 summer series will kick off on Thursday, June 15th at Simmzy’s in Burbank. Save the date and, check back for open registration or click here to be added to the WIP mailing list.
WIP also hosts Women in Technology lunches at the HPA Tech Retreat in Indian Wells, CA, and SMPTE’s Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition in Los Angeles, CA each year, as well as various programmed events throughout the Los Angeles area. These events are moderated discussions with hot topics affecting today’s workplace.
Over the last two years, Women in Post has also played key role in launching HPA’s Young Entertainment Professionals (YEP) program. YEP which officially launched in 2016, provides a range of services including group and one-on-one mentoring, as well as access to networking opportunities and education at HPA and SMPTE events to a class of up-and-coming media professionals across a variety of industry disciplines each year. Applications for the 2017 YEP class will open this summer, click here to learn more about the YEP program.
