Creative thinker with six years’ experience in digital and business strategy at BAFTA, Time Out and Mumsnet, leading new projects from conception and design to delivery and development post-launch. As Head of BAFTA Tech, it’s my job to build a commercial venture for BAFTA, leading on from 10 years’ research & development in software. Our aim is to find ways of making life easier for the film and TV industry by building technical solutions to common problems. We currently have two commercial products. BAFTA Electron is a cloud-based system for media storage, encoding and sharing. Electron can be used as a web service or as a website integration. BAFTA Nucleus was developed for BAFTA’s own awards and is licensed by an increasing number of industry awards. In another life, I was an arts journalist and editor for The Sunday Times, Guardian, Independent, Time Out, Radio Times and others. I also co-founded a children’s clothing range encouraging storytelling and interactive play.
