Peter Wilson

1960’s. Left handed, left school at 15 to enter a 4.5 year Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship covering Electrics, Electronics, sheet metal work, fitting and turning etc. Moved to Portsmouth Polytechnic now University as a Lab technician and TV Studio Engineer.

1970’s. Moved to London as a TV Studio Engineer at the Royal college of Art and Design.

Moved on to be founding TV Studio Engineer at the British National Film School.

1980’s Moved on to Sony Broadcast where responsible for HDTV in Europe and also as a special projects facilitator for Masahiko Morizono founder of Sony Broadcast Division.

1990’s Moved on to Snell and Wilcox Ltd as HD Guru working directly for the Founder and Chairman.

2000’s Created High Definition and Digital Cinema Ltd. Worked with DCI Studio’s on Digital Cinema.
Fellow of the BKSTS, Director of the EDCF, Director of the ECA.

Some Highlights
Shared Technical Emmy.

Received from HRH Queen Elizabeth on behalf of S&W Queens award for export and Technology.
Many industry firsts.

Briefed Stanley Kubrick and Federico Fellini on Electronic Movie Production.
Facilitated first HD Electronic 35mm Feature Movie, Giulia e Giulia starring Kathleen turner. & Sting
